A 15-20 minute to determine whether your project goals align with our design process and philosophy.
At Somerville Design - Residential Interiors, we believe that interior design is an art form that goes beyond simply transforming spaces. It is about creating personalized havens that reflect our client's unique personalities and lifestyles. Our interior design process begins with deeply understanding our client's vision and aspirations. We take the time to listen and gather information, ensuring that every detail is captured, no matter how small. By collaborating closely with our clients, we can uncover their unique style preferences, functional needs and design goals.
Site Meeting
A more thorough conversation that includes a detailed tour of each room in the home.
The focus will be on the rooms identified for our design services (with photos and measurements), although transitions from room to room are important to the process. The discussion will include each room and its practical functions, design inspirations, room concepts, budget, and timelines.
Contract
A design contract aims to establish a framework that defines the scope of work, specific deliverables, timelines, and financial obligations related to the interior design project. Each contract is unique and tailored to meet a client's particular needs and requirements.
Concept Design
We work together using initial ideas to generate the design that works for you and your family. We provide sketches and some samples to illustrate a general design direction.
Design Development
As we begin to source materials and refine the design, we revisit the early ideas and desires to ensure a comprehensive project plan that captures the spirit and integrity of the rooms and spaces.
Construction Documentation
Plans are created to exact specifications to support the design and project implementation, which can include permits and subcontracting.
Project Administration
We deliver what you’ve imagined, overseeing construction, deliveries, timelines and installations. All that is left for you to do is turn the key and enjoy your new surroundings.
